Users of the BSAC ’88 Tables are reminded that participating in sport diving involves exposure to the risk of decompression illness. Since that exposure is affected by a number of factors, including some over which the diver has no control, the authors and
publishers of the BSAC ’88 Tables cannot guarantee risk-free diving to any user. Moreover, failure to adhere strictly to the Tables and the prescribed procedures for their use will necessarily increase any risk to which a user might otherwise be exposed.
